Leeds is a great city and is FULL of amazing places to discover. It is also one of the best cities for its variety of awesome brunch places. Take a read of this article to discover some of the best.

LS6 Cafe

Now, if you are a true Leeds student, LS6 Cafe is the place to be. Right on the Hyde Park strip, not far away from the famous Hyde Park Pub, is where you’ll find the bright pink cafe. Here, you will be surrounded mostly by your fellow students. It is the perfect place to go with friends after a rough night out or just if you are fancying a cute instagrammable brunch. The menu they provide is one of the best in Leeds with a very wide range of options, varying from your full english breakfast, egg specials or your typical loaded pancakes.

On one of my trips, I opted for the pancakes and they did not disappoint! You are CERTAINLY getting your money’s worth as the pancakes were hanging over the edge of my plate with the perfect amount of berry toppings. As a student, I understand the struggle of finding places in Leeds that are on the more inexpensive side, but where you can still get great quality. Trust me, this is the place to go to save some pennies AND get amazing quality food. You will be paying no more than £10 for your brunch.

As well as a banging brunch menu with great vegetarian and vegan options, they have even more options when it comes to cocktails. Despite it being more of a casual brunch cafe, if you are fancying a cheeky cocktail, they will have one that will perfectly suit your cravings.

The staff there do go above and beyond for you and cater to your every brunch need. And no need to book, they take walk-ins and despite being very popular, usually can fit you in. Even better… brunch is served all day 9am-5pm! Make sure you put LS6 Cafe on your brunch bucket list!

Bills

Another place to be is Bills, found in the middle of the city centre, only about a 15 minute walk from campus. It may be a chain but you won’t find them in many cities in the UK. Along with multiple floors, it also provides outdoor seating so is perfect for the summer. It’s always a good idea to book though.

Again, the price range is accessible to students and you are definitely getting an amazing quality brunch. It’s a couple of quid more expensive than LS6 Cafe, but just as good a menu with loads of range.

During my visits, I have never received better service from anywhere else I have visited in Leeds. I would honestly have to rate the service a 11/10! The staff are very lovely and you are surrounded by a diverse range of people.

The vibes are also immaculate, with amazon artwork featured and beautiful decor. Perfect for dates, a cute place to go with friends or even somewhere to take your family members when they come up to visit! Put this one on your list!

Le Chalet

Le Chalet is a little gem found close to the train station in the city centre. It is more of a quiet option, but this little French spin off cafe will not disappoint! Famous for its amazing options of macaroons and pastries, it also provides afternoon tea deliveries.

Its French menu consists of a classic french breakfast, french toast, crepes, a range of waffles and vegan options. If you are looking for somewhere a little different, this is the place to be. A nice place to go with parents or friends and they even provide a bottomless brunch.

Again, perfect for students and super affordable, and you are paying for the uniqueness, lovely service and a super friendly environment. Although popular, you are guaranteed to get a table and no need to book. A great place to take parents, friends or a date!

If Up North

If Up North is a super hidden gem. You can find it right at the end of call lane in the middle of the city. A perfect place to go after you’ve just finished a shopping trip, visiting all the vintage shops or to take a friend. It’s also a good place to take your laptop and have a coffee whilst doing some of your much dreaded uni work. Maybe if you romanticize working it will help you finish your essay?

Open seven days a week, this tiny cafe doesn’t have many seats but certainly makes up for it in the menu… serving the most amazing pancakes, as well as a range of other amazing food. You can also find them on deliveroo.

This cafe has great vibes and is perfectly in the student budget. You won’t be disappointed!

East 59th

East 59th is a rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace in the centre of Leeds, close to Headrow House. The rooftop terrace is a gorgeous outdoor space, filled with nature, overlooking the amazing views of Leeds. Perfect for brunch on summer mornings! However, if the rain pops over, they can accommodate you indoors. I believe they do take walk-ins, but I would recommend booking.

It is a little bit more on the expensive side for us students, but you are paying for the awesome environment and views! The menu also isn’t as large as others, nevertheless, it still provides a good selection of eggs and specials.

Now get out and go do some brunchin’!
